Ado Furlanetto was born in Treviso in 1945. He began his artistic activity in 1977 painting extremely stripped-down figurative landscapes,
dominated by the presence of the sky. Attracted by informal painting, after continuous research, he arrived at a sort of lyrical abstractionism.
In his latest studies he applied fragments of newspaper to his canvases and used various building materials including plaster, cement, marmorino and sand, mixing them with personal techniques. He has been exhibiting since 1979, obtaining acclaim from the public and critics, both in Italy and abroad. In the same year he began to participate in various national and international competitions, immediately receiving recognition and winning prestigious prizes.
Some critics and artists who have judged and awarded his works are: Gastone Breddo, Lino Dinetto, Cesco Magnolato, Armando Pizzinato, Mario Portalupi, Domenico Purificado, Paolo Rizzi, Guido Tavagnacco, Giuseppe Zigaina.
He has participated in countless group exhibitions and set up personal exhibitions.

Abroad he has exhibited in Paris in 1998 and 2016, in Poland (in the Wroclaw museum), Helsinki, Stockholm, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, Stuttgart, Budapest, Cologne.
It is published in the CAM - Catalog of Modern Art - published by Mondadori - Italian artists from the early twentieth century to today - year 2016 and year 2017.
His works are permanent in museums and in public and private collections in Italy, Europe and the United States of America (USA).
Since 2016 he has collaborated with the fashion house "Le Terre del Vento" of Treviso who have replicated fabrics with his works to create unique garments.
The "IL Roncal" estate has created three collector's labels with three of its works for the 2017, 2018 and 2021 signature Magnums.
He is part of the AURA Association of Udine and is a curator and organizer of events for social purposes.
Authoritative personalities have spoken and written about his art, including: Cinzia Francesca Botteon, Licio Damiani, Lorena Gava, Vania Gransinich, Mario Guderzo, Luciano Perissinotto, Annamaria Poggioli, Enzo Santese, Alessandra Santin, Paolo Venti, Italo Zannier.
In September 2018 he was invited to the "Pordenonelegge" literary festival in Piazzetta Ottoboni, contributing to the art review with two works.
In the same year, again in Pordenone, the exhibition "From the Real to the Surreal" was inaugurated at the Civic Museum of Palazzo
Mixed media and textural work on canvas, created in 2023. This piece is a tribute to all lovers, depicting a romantic moonlit scene that gently illuminates both the sky and the sea.
